The COVID-19 pandemic in Cuba was a part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The virus was confirmed to have spread to Cuba on 11 March 2020 when three Italian tourists tested positive for the virus. As of December 2025, almost every family in Cuba has someone sick at home due to the country’s epidemiological crisis which includes illnesses such as dengue, Oropouche and chikungunya, as well as respiratory viruses such as H1N influenza, respiratory syncytial virus, and Covid-19.
